Introduction
Northside Enterprise Centre is a 10,000sp.ft purpose built community enterprise centre. It is located on the Northside Business & Community Campus in Coolock, Dublin 17. The Northside Enterprise Centre opened in 2001, it’s development was funded by Enterprise Ireland, Dublin City Council, Dublin City Enterprise Board and the Northside Partnership.
Northside Enterprise Centre offers a place where start-ups can avail of the support they need to grow their businesses. They offer a range of services to tenants and other local small business owners, including Shared Offices, Hot Desks and Conference Room hire. All at a fraction of the costs available in Dublin City Centre.
They also run Coder Dojo sessions for kids aged 6-16 where the kids learn to code, build websites and solve puzzles through online games. I myself am involved in the Dojo as a ‘Mentor’ giving guidance to help them learn. The emphasis is on getting a grounding in the aspects of coding that can help them later on in life.
